Xcel Energy Center
199 West Kellogg Boulevard
Saint Paul, MN 55102

On May 2, road closures and detours will go into effect for completion of the final phase of the downtown Kellogg Boulevard Bridges replacement project. Spring work is required to place a permanent high-strength concrete road surface on the bridge deck. This work impacts the approaches between Market Street and Wabasha Street and to accommodate this work, segments of downtown roadways will be closed, including:

1. Kellogg Boulevard, between Market Street and Wabasha Street
2. Southbound Wabasha Bridge across the Mississippi River, and
3. Eastbound Exchange Street Viaduct (near RiverCentre).

Bridge work is expected to be completed by mid-June. Check the project webpage for updates.

As of February 22, the intersection of Kellogg Boulevard and Jackson Street is closed. This closure will mark the first phase of construction on Jackson Street. The initial closure will be for 10 weeks to allow Xcel Energy to safely complete advanced utility work. It is anticipated that the intersection will be closed for an additional 8 weeks after the first phase and then have partial closures throughout the 2016 construction season. Crews intend to reopen the Jackson Street connection from Kellogg Boulevard to Shepard Road by the end of summer. Click here for suggested alternative routes.
