The NCAA hockey championship is returning to Saint Paul in 2024 as Xcel Energy Center and the University of Minnesota will host the 2024 Men's Frozen Four on April 11 and 13, 2024.
Xcel Energy Center was home to the Men's Frozen Four in 2002, 2011 and 2018, with a Minnesota team winning the championship all three years - University of Minnesota in 2002 and University of Minnesota Duluth in 2011 and 2018.
In 2024, the University of Minnesota will play host to an NCAA Men's Frozen Four for the ninth time in school history. Minnesota previously hosted the 1958, 1966, 1989, 1991, 1994, 2002, 2011 and 2018 Frozen Four. The 1989, 1991, 1994, 2002, 2011 and 2018 were all played in Saint Paul.
"The University of Minnesota is proud to host the NCAA Frozen Four for the ninth time when we welcome college hockey's premiere event back to Xcel Energy Center in 2024," said Gopher Hockey Head Coach Bob Motzko. "Xcel Energy Center, the Twin Cities and the University of Minnesota have a great history of hosting first class events, and we look forward to continuing that tradition with the 2024 Frozen Four."
