Xcel Energy Center and Live Nation Host Donation Drive Inspired by Jennifer Lopez

To celebrate Jennifer Lopez's milestone 50th birthday and her highly anticipated "It's My Party Tour" coming to Saint Paul, Xcel Energy Center and Live Nation are throwing the ultimate party!

On Friday, June 28, fans are encouraged to bring a "gift" to Xcel Energy Center for Washburn Center for Children in honor of the pop diva's birthday. The mission of this organization is to nurture every child and family's well-being and full potential through transformative children's mental health care. Through toys and games, their therapists are able to connect with children to build bonds and help them talk about their feelings.

Children's well-being is something that Lopez is fiercely passionate about. She advocates and invests in policies and programs that make a positive, measurable impact on communities and makes quality healthcare and health education available for underserved mothers and their children.

Items needed include:

  • Simple games (Jenga, checkers, Candyland, Connect 4, etc.)
  • Art supplies (Play-Doh, non-toxic paint, markers, modeling clay, pipe cleaners, etc.)
  • Multicultural books
  • Play food, plates, pots, etc.
  • Toy doctor kits
  • Baby dolls of diverse ethnicities and accessories (bottle, bed, etc.)
  • Doll house families of various cultural backgrounds
  • Playmobil toys (fire trucks, police cars, ambulances, pirate ships, hospital and schools)
  • Small toy cars
  • Small drums and other small musical instruments
  • Small plastic animals (dinosaurs, crocodiles, sharks, domestic and wild animals, etc.)
  • Puppets and stuffed animals (more aggressive ones like sharks and crocodiles; gentle ones like mice, puppies, bunnies, turtles, etc.)

Xcel Energy Center will also host an employee drive in the weeks leading up to the show. Those donations will be set backstage for Lopez to see when she arrives in Saint Paul.
