The following list of questions and answers addresses the most common questions we receive in regards to the U.S. Figure Skating Championships. What kind of tickets are still available?
Tickets start at just $12 and are still available in all price levels for all sessions. Visit our ticket section for more information.
When will I receive the shuttle bus pass that I ordered?
Shuttle bus passes will be mailed the week of January 4 and should be received via USPS the week of January 7. If you have not received your pass in the mail please email us.
Are practice sessions open to the public?
No. Practice sessions are closed to the public, with exception of All-event ticket package holders who are permitted to watch all practice sessions held at the Xcel Energy Center. For a schedule of practice sessions at Xcel Energy center please visit the Athletes section and scroll down to Venues and Practice Times.
Each All-event ticket package contains a single practice session ticket, which is good for admittance to all practice sessions at the Xcel Energy Center between Jan. 20-27.
Will the arena be colder than usual because of the ice?
The Xcel Energy Center is a one-of-a-kind, state-of-the-art, multi-purpose sports and entertainment facility that is home to the National Hockey League's (NHL) Minnesota Wild and a multitude of spectacular entertainment events annually. It is a climate-controlled building and all efforts are made to sustain a comfortable temperature for all fans and spectators.
How can I purchase official merchandise for the 2008 U.S. Figure Skating Championships?
Event programs, plush roses and bears, lanyards with credential holders, lapel pins, blankets, knit hats and a variety of apparel items for youth, men and women will be available for purchase.

How can I place an ad in the official event program or become a vendor/exhibitor?
The deadline has passed for ad sales, retail vendor partners and trade show exhibitors to participate in the 2008 U.S. Figure Skating Championships.

Is my hotel on the shuttle bus line?

Does my child need a ticket to the event?
All children over the age of 2 will need a ticket to attend all sessions of the competition
Is parking available for purchase in advance of the event?
Yes. Advance parking in the adjacent RiverCentre parking ramp and can be purchased online for all sessions.
What is the camera policy for this event?
The camera policy set by the U.S. Figure Skating Organization as is as follows:

Cameras are permitted for personal use only.

Absolutely NO VIDEO CAMERAS or DIGITAL CAMERAS using VIDEO are allowed.

NO FLASH photography.

NO camera should have a lens LARGER than 200 mm and an F-stop of 2.8 or smaller.

Any resale of photography is strictly prohibited.

Are fans allowed to bring flowers or plush items into the arena?
Fans are not permitted to bring flowers or plush items into the Xcel Energy Center during the 2008 U.S. Figure Skating Championships. Plush items are available for purchase online and at all Hockey Lodge stands at the Xcel Energy Center.
What is an All-Event Ticket Package?
This consists of a book of tickets, one to every session of the competition at both Xcel Energy Center, as well as special privileges to watch all practice sessions held at Xcel Energy Center.

The competition begins on Jan. 20 and ends with the men's final free skate on Sunday, Jan. 27.

Tickets will be mailed to the address we have on file for you approximately 30-60 days prior to the event.

All sales are final, no refunds or exchanges.

The field of competitors and the time of each competition will be announced at a later date and are subject to change

All-Event ticket packages do not include tickets to the Skating Spectacular on Sunday, Jan. 27 at 7 PM. Tickets to this event are sold separately and can be purchased here.

The individual who purchases an All-event ticket package does not have to attend each session him or herself. Tickets can be shared for different sessions, however, tickets can not be shared within the same session. (i.e. there are no passes issued once you have exited the building)
How are ice sweepers and award presenters selected?
Applications will be distributed to TCFSA member club presidents and delegates on June 1, 2007. Applications will also be available online at www.tcfsa.org. For more information on eligibility and requirements please click here.
How can I volunteer to help with the event?
The deadline to submit volunteer forms has passed and applications are no longer being accepted.
