Xcel Energy Center and Live Nation have announced that music icon Neil Young will embark on a North American tour that will commence at Saint Paul’s Theater at Xcel Energy Center on Tuesday, Oct. 14 at 7 p.m. The new tour comes on the heels of Young’s hugely successful 2008 European Tour that brought him before audiences in 14 countries over the course of three months.
This fall’s tour includes concert performances in such U.S. markets as Los Angeles, San Diego, Chicago, Detroit, and Philadelphia. Additionally there will be multiple stops in Young’s native Canada including Vancouver, Calgary, Regina, Winnipeg, Toronto, Ottawa, Montreal and Halifax.
The concerts will feature Neil Young with the same band that so ably backed him in Europe - Ben Keith, Rick Rosas, Chad Cromwell, Anthony Crawford and Pegi Young. Song sets are expected to be eclectic, featuring both newer material and classic Neil Young hits. Death Cab For Cutie and Everest will support the Saint Paul date.
