I find it very hard to find seating for ADA for the rodeo.
Where are the ADA seat in sec.102 and or 118. How far up are they?
Are they right side or left side? Can I have scooter with me?

Hi Bill,
We certainly have ADA accessible seating available for the World's Toughest Rodeo on Jan. 29th and 30th. There are accessible platforms available in various locations on the lower level, club level, and upper level of the building. The platforms closest to the locations you mentioned would be in sections 103, 104, and 117. These platforms can accommodate wheelchairs, scooters, and walkers, and offer a folding chair for your companion. The accessible platforms are located at the top of various sections allowing access without requiring any stairs.
If you have any accessible seating needs please feel free to stop by the Xcel Energy Center Box Office, open 10:00 AM - 6:00 PM Monday-Saturday, or call the box office directly at 651-726-8240.
Thanks for your question and enjoy the World's Toughest Rodeo!

Hi Jack, I want to get the e-mail for the pre sales on concerts
(especially Bon Jovi) and I just signed up for the x press notices.
My question is when will I receive my first pre sales concert ticket
e-mail? They go on sale tomorrow (pre sale). Also, I have a friend
that received this e-mail can he forward the e-mail to me and I can
get the tickets through that forwarded e-mail? Thanks, Kim

Kim,
Glad you signed up for X-Press - now you'll be among the first to know when we announce shows. The Bon Jovi email was sent midday on Wednesday, Nov. 4. For most events, if a friend forwards the email, you should be able participate in the presale. Sometimes the presale is limited (i.e. Minnesota Wild Season Ticket Holders only). However, as much as possible we work with acts coming to Xcel Energy Center to provide our fans with presale access.
Great question.

Sophie,
Now, why would you want one of those when the big show is going on out front? Ok, ok. We get it. Here’s the deal. Sometimes radio stations or fan clubs conduct special promotions to win a VIP pass or meet-n-greet opportunity, so consider contacting the station or fan club directly for details. Sorry we aren't able to help you directly with your request.
Thanks for your question and have fun at the show!

Hey,
My friend bought some tickets for a Wild game, but forgot to get tickets

pass WITHOUT buying more tickets to the game?

Hi Jake,
Thanks for coming out to the Wild game. Regarding parking, while the RiverCentre ramp does sell parking in advance for concerts, because of commitments to Wild season ticket holders the ramp isn't able to make advance parking available to buyers of individual Wild games. You can still certainly park there when you come down, though, and there are a lot of parking options around us. A good source of information is at the Parking page on our website. Hope that helps - and GO WILD!

Just wondering if there are any bar/restaurants open that are in
the Xcel Center during concerts that are accessible without a ticket
for the concert? We are looking to be at the venue during a
concert that our kids will be attending!

Cindy,
For most shows that have a younger audience attending a concert without their parents -- but their parents want to stay close by due to driving needs, travel distance, etc. -- Xcel Energy Center does provide a parents' room at no charge. At this time our dining areas are only open to ticketed patrons, but I think that's a great idea for us to consider and will pursue it here internally.
Thanks for the great question!

What surface do the Minnesota Swarm Play on?

Adam,
The Minnesota Swarm play on Sportexe artificial turf that we lay out over our ice surface and Velcro together. I believe there are about 13 rolls that cover the 200' x 85' rink surface. It's about an inch thick; one half inch is padding, the other half inch is turf.
Glad to see you are already thinking about lacrosse season!

Jack - I'm planning on going to Jingle Ball this December,
and I'm wondering how much are floor seats rows 1 - 10 going

Tayler,
For the 101.3 KDWB Jingle Ball concert on Dec. 6, the rows on the floor you are referring to are the top price of $73 per ticket, plus fees. And, we agree with you -- these are great prices for this year's stellar line up! Enjoy the show.

Melissa,
I'm guessing from reading your question that you ordered your tickets through Ticketmaster. If that was the case, call Ticketmaster's Customer Service line at 800-653-8000. They should be able to assist you with alternative delivery methods.
Let me know if we can assist with anything further.

Hey Jack! We were wondering how many seats total are in the Xcel Energy Center?
- Kit and Kat from Wanamingo, MN

Kit and Kat,
It's a bit tricky. Our seating capacity depends on the configuration of the event in the building. For Minnesota Wild games it's 18,064, but we do have standing-room availability as well, which can take us over 19,000. For concerts, we can configure the arena to seat more than 20,000 by adding folding chairs on the floor.
Thanks for your question.

How do you go about switching over Xcel Energy Center
from a Hockey Setting to a Concert Setting?
- Kevin from Minneapolis, MN
|
Posted October 8, 2009 |
|
| |
 |
|
Kevin,
How we convert the arena differs depending on the events we are converting to or from. To address your question of converting from a hockey setting to a concert setting, it generally plays out like this:
1) Immediately upon the conclusion of a Minnesota Wild game, we resurface the ice 3 times with the Zambonis.
2) Then, the ice is covered with over 500 - 4 x 8 ft. sheets of fiberglass/foam composite.
3) Once this is done, our team breaks into groups so the following work happens simultaneously:
- Hockey glass and some of the boards are removed
- Conversion of the players benches, tunnels, and penalty box back to seating
- Removal of seating in sections 119 - 126 to make room for the stage and show to load in
- Removal of seating in sections 107 and 113 to allow floor access for the concert crowd
- Stage is built
- Hockey locker rooms are converted to concert dressing rooms
4) In the morning, the tour semis arrive to load in the concert gear and another crew works directly with them to set up the concert production.
5) Typically, the last piece is setting out a couple of thousand chairs on the floor.
6) At the conclusion of the concert, the process is reversed and concludes with the Zambonis back resurfacing the rink by 6 a.m. the next morning.
As you can tell, the process involves an incredible amount of work in a very short period of time. We are fortunate to have a very talented staff that works extremely hard to pull every one of our 150+ events a year together seamlessly.
DIY Network's "Project Xtreme" dedicated an entire episode to our conversion process last year. You can watch the episode here at diynetwork.com. Scroll to video titled "Coldplay Concert: Hockey Rink."
Thanks for the great question!

How does a person go about getting to ride the zamboni
between periods at a Wild game?
- Monty from Alexandria, MN

Monty,
Thanks for your question. It's one we get pretty often around here.
Fans have 2 opportunities to ride the Target Red Hot Seats during a Wild game. Fans may either register to win 2 spots on the Target Red Hot Seats at the Community Relations Booth (located behind section 125), or they can text-to-win 2 seats during the first intermission.
The Waste Management Zamboni and Bud Light Zamboni are usually reserved for season ticket holders, community and corporate partners.
Hopefully we'll see you on the ice sometime soon.

Richard,
We've had a lot of great shows here, but if I have to pick my favorites they would be Paul McCartney, Bruce Springsteen (especially the Vote for Change show when Neil Young joined them), Bob Seger, Roger Waters, the Rolling stones, and Simon & Garfunkel.
If you are interested, we keep an updated history of events on our site: Xcel Energy Center Timeline.

Greg,
Good question. It's one we get pretty often.
When available, tours of the public areas of Xcel Energy Center are typically scheduled on non-event weekdays. Reservations are required. Tours begin at Gate 1 of Xcel Energy Center and include a 15-minute informative lecture on the many amenities of our complex. Guests are then guided through each of the four levels of the arena to see what each level has to offer.
To inquire about available tour dates or to schedule a group tour, please call Bree Oslin at 651-726-8145. The cost is $1.00 per person (children under 6 are free).

Kyle,
Good question. Through a donation of $50, fans may have their message in lights on the scoreboard of Xcel Energy Center. Messages will run during the second period of each Minnesota Wild home game. Requests should be received at least 48 business hours in advance of game time.
A photo of your scoreboard message will even be mailed to you after the game.
Go to wild.com under the State of Hockey tab or call 651-602-6000 for more information.

What was your favorite match at Raw Live?

Hi Dylan,
Honestly, I'd have to say the first match of the night really started things off with a bang! I wasn't expecting to see my favorite Irish sidekick Hornswaggle right off the bat, but his timing couldn't have been more perfect. Evan Bourne was taking a pretty good beating from Chavo at the time - Hornswaggle to the rescue! You also can't beat the grand finale 20-minute match between John Cena and Randy Orton - too bad it had to end in a DQ.
Hope you had a good time, too. Thanks for writing in.

It just depends. Every show is different. Because each artist has different guidelines for their show, it’s always best to check the event page on xcelenergycenter.com for specifics on the show you will be attending. As a general guideline, cameras with a detachable lens or a lens length longer than two (2) inches are not allowed inside. The use of flash photography may also be prohibited.
For most of our shows, we post great photos the next day. You can check them out here.

On the internet I see tickets for sale before Xcel Energy
Center has even announced the show coming to
Saint Paul - what gives?
|
Posted September 3, 2009 |
|
| |
 |
|
First, make sure and sign up for X-Press – the official newsletter of Xcel Energy Center - and be the first to know about concerts, the latest news and receive special ticket offers.
Ah, the “secondary ticket market.” Many secondary ticket sites will speculate that they will be able to get tickets when they go on sale to the public. Sometimes you’ll see a notation on those sites that states, “We guarantee you these seats or better,” and the listing is for the very last row in our building so any seat they end up offering is going to technically be “better.”
All I can say is “BUYER BEWARE.”
So, let’s say you lose the ticket. If you bought it from our authorized partner, Ticketmaster, and you let us know the credit card information for the card you used to purchase the ticket(s), with a little advanced warning we can track down your ticket and help you replace it in time for the show. If you bought your tickets from a non-authorized site/seller we would direct you back to them for help because we have no way of tracking down the information. See what I’m getting at?
Or worse, you show up at the gate with your ticket purchased from an unauthorized seller and are told it’s actually been stolen, or was reported lost. Again, we have no way to access that ticket information, so we’d refer you back to them for assistance.
It’s always best to buy tickets for Xcel Energy Center events from our authorized ticketing partner, Ticketmaster. Tickets can be purchased for all Xcel Energy Center events including Minnesota Wild and Minnesota Swarm games, in person at the Xcel Energy Center Box Office, online at ticketmaster.com or by phone at 800-745-3000.
