Banners and Signs
Banners are allowed in the arena for some events, however they may not be hung or fastened anywhere in Xcel Energy Center.
Camera Policy
Following rules are general and can be overridden based on a specific request from the attraction or promoter:
Sporting Events:
Non-flash, still cameras of any type may be used to take pictures of sporting events or events where house lights are illuminated during a performance. Any tripod or other photography equipment may not be used or placed in any area of the building without building issued Media Credentials.
Concerts and other events:
Cameras with a detachable lens or lens of more than two inches are prohibited from all Xcel Energy Center concerts. The use of flash photography is also prohibited. The Event Producer reserves the right to deny camera use at any time during or before the concert and to prohibit the use of any camera that is deemed unacceptable.
* Video Recorders or Digital Cameras with recording capabilities are prohibited at any time during an event. The Xcel Energy Center reserves the right to examine and prohibit use of any camera that its personnel deems unacceptable. Tape recorders are not allowed at any time at Xcel Energy Center. Failure to comply with the Xcel Energy Center Camera Policy may result in the film being confiscated.
Cellular Phones & Pagers
The use of cellular phones and pagers is permitted provided they do not interfere with other guests' enjoyment of the event.
Exit and Re-Entry
There is no re-entry to the arena.
Food and Beverages, Bottles & Cans
Guests are not permitted to bring any outside food or beverages into Xcel Energy Center. Containers including bottles, cans, thermos bottles, and plastic coolers are not permitted for the safety and protection of our guests.
Beer and Alcohol sale during hockey games:
With 10 minutes left in the third period of all hockey games, all concourse beer and alcohol sales will end. The St. Paul Club has bar areas which open 20 minutes after the game, The Iron Range Grill stays open 20 minutes after the game and Headwaters restaurant stays open up to one hour after events.
Beer and Alcohol sale during concerts and other events:
Beer and Alcohol sales end one hour from the scheduled end of the event.
Gate Opening Times
All gates open one hour prior to all events. Exception is the VIP Gate 5, which opens two hours prior to all Minnesota Wild Hockey Games and 1½ hours for most Non-Wild events, allowing premium seat holders early access to The St. Paul Club Level restaurant and the Executive Suites areas. (There may be occasional gate opening time changes for special circumstances)
Guest Conduct
Xcel Energy Center is committed to providing a fun, family atmosphere in the arena. Guests using foul language or appearing to be in a drunken condition will be ejected from the arena. Guests wearing obscene or indecent clothing will be denied entry. For the comfort and enjoyment of our guests, noisemakers of any type (e.g., air horns, cow bells, etc.) are prohibited. The use of Laser Pointers is strictly prohibited and will result in ejection. If someone is interfering with your enjoyment of the event, please contact an Xcel Energy Center staff member.
Restrictions
In the interest of guest safety and enjoyment, the Xcel Energy Center reserves the right to prevent certain items from being carried into the arena. These include, but are not limited to, weapons or anything else that can be used as dangerous projectiles. Similarly, other items that may jeopardize the safety or viewing/ listening enjoyment of the guests may be prohibited.
Smoking
Xcel Energy Center is a smoke free building; smoking in your suite is strictly prohibited. Designated smoking areas are located outside the building at Gates #3 and #4.
Resale of Arena Tickets
To protect your investment, Xcel Energy Center prohibits the sale or resale of any ticket under any circumstances. Under Minnesota state law, tickets may not be resold or offered for resale at a price higher than the amount printed on the ticket. All parties involved in such transactions are subject to prosecution. Any ticket resale to a broker will immediately constitute revocation of any Minnesota Wild Season Tickets and loss of ticket renewal privileges.
